November Bunko

This was a...let's just say it was an interesting Bunko this month. Unfortunately we were short a few ladies and had to use a ghost (or two almost three), and those of us who were there seemed to be pooped out that evening. Luckily we talked Sara into playing with us so we were one less short :O).

Martha hosted this month at her lovely home and put out a very delectable spread. Wow, does this woman know how to entertain or what! She was a gracious host even with having to get up at the crack of dawn to head out of town the next morning. Thanks for being such a trooper Martha.

As we sat down to get started we realized that we did not have the Bunko game...yikes. Good thing Christine lives close to Martha's house and was able to run and grab it within a short time. The game arrived and we got rollin'...

Maybe we were still adjusting to the time change? But being the die hard determined to have fun darn it no matter what ladies that we are we kept rollin...

Where are my BuNkO Queens??? Here they are...

Remember the ghost I mentioned earlier...Yep, she Bunko'd too!

The Winners are...Katheryn for most loses, Sara for most wins, and Shannon for most Bunkos...Tah Dah! Shannon and Sara actually tied for most wins and rolled for it.

Decembers Bunko is being hosted by Jen. Due to the Christmas program being on the 18th we will be moving the date to Friday the 19th.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...Please bring a $10 gift wrapped nice and pretty for a gift exchange. Be sure to bring your Christmas spirit (and perhaps a bottle of wine) and a good time will be had by all!

Our First Bunko

So we finally got it together and had our first Bunko! Christine H. hosted at her MIL's club house which was PeRfEcT with 3 retro tables fitted with padding (so the dice don't roll off) and 4 old school chairs on wheels at each table...the set up could not be more perfect. Christine H. made a delicious spread and Kerri brought a bottle of wine which 4 of us split, the four who had the most fun I might add...LOL.

We were greeted by a gushing sprinkler which created a fantastic waterfall that blocked the path to the door! Poor Michelle in her sexy post op orthopedic shoe had to carefully maneuver her way through the flooded pathway but she made it just fine.

The night started out a bit quiet and on more of a serious tone as this was a first for many of us. We had to focus on our rolls and carefully monitor the numbers on the dice trying to remember what "mark" we were on.

Woo Hoo...B-u-N-k-O!!! These are the ladies who hit Bunko...some more than others (notice the stickers). Christine H. brought Halloween stickers for us to put on each time we got a Bunko and we also have a totally terrificly tacky tiara that we pass around to each lady as she Bunkos. In the words of Christine D. as she hit the last Bunko of the night, "The crown feels good doesn't it!"

As the evening progressed we began to loosen up and have fun...

Judie for Most Losses(18), she said she wanted to accentuate the positive and focus on her 6 wins though...tee hee. Hey Judie, it pays to be a looser too!

I would say it was a successful first Bunko and now that we know what to do next month will be even that much better!
